||
| Kiwi Slides are designed for use with the
Reef-Rite furler — we even include a batch with your roller furler order
— but they can also be used in place of luff tape on a headsail luff and
as slugs on a mainsail luff. They are normally sewn to the sail luff or can be laced through eyelets, and are actually stronger than the sail itself. |

They provide 50% less friction than luff tape
when hoisting or lowering a headsail. By using Kiwi Slides you have a captive luff at all times — the same as with hanked-on sails — which allows you to load or unload one sail while the other is working, if you have a double-groove luff extrusion. For short-handed crew, Kiwi Slides provide easy, safe, handling for single and twin sails. |

| Sail conversion is easier and cheaper than luff tape. More than 3,500 sails have been fitted with Kiwi Slides; ask your sailmaker to use them for your next sail conversion instead of luff tape. | ||
|
Kiwi Slides are manufactured from Dupont Zytel FE15015, a glass filled nylon, with heavy Dacron tape tails (also available with extra long tails). |

| Note: The above breaking strain tests were carried out on Reef-Rite foil extrusions. During the tests, the extrusion began to spread before any sign of Kiwi Slide failure. Other foil extrusions may not reach these figures. | ||
